Eastern High School

Junior Katie Hauner ran a personal course record of 20:09.8 as she represented Eastern at the IHSAA State Cross Country meet, which included 250 girls' participants from around the state. This was Hauner's second trip to the state meet and next year, she hopes to make it 3 in a row. Katie had a very successful junior campaign winning the Eastern, Crawford County and Silver Creek Invitationals. She also won the Southern Athletic Conference individual race. While it is not confirmed if she is the first do it, she is definitely in rare company to say that she has won conference titles in two different conferences as she won the Mid Southern Conference race last year.
