The Lady M's traveled to Christian Academy of Indiana to face the #5 ranked Lady Warriors in a competitive match up nearly a week before sectional play begins. CAI had a rowdy crowd and high energy environment, and both the JV and Varsity came away with wins in 3 sets. In the Varsity match, the 6th ranked in 2A Lady Musketeers won 25-19, 25-19, 25-20 to improve to 25-5 on the season behind 19 kills, 2 aces, 9 digs and 1 block from Avery Smith and 25 assists, 20 digs, 3 kills and 1 block from Addie Smith. Eliza Starrett had 3 aces and 14 digs while Sidney Burton 7 kills and 11 digs. Emma Brawner chipped in 2 kills and 2 blocks and continues to be aggressive at the net. In the JV match the ladies won 25-18, 17-25, 15-12 behind 17 assists, 8 digs and 2 aces from Elsie Starrett, 7 kills and 7 digs from Lilly Gonzalez and 6kills and 1 ace from Addyson Raley. Genesis Stanfill had 2 aces and 4 digs. The final regular season match is at West Washington on Thursday night with the JV beginning at 6 pm. The Lady Musketeers open up defense of their sectional 46 title a week from this Thursday at Clarksville against the host Lady Generals at 6 pm with the semifinal and championship matches on Saturday at Clarksville.
