Eastern traveled to play the Austin Lady Eagles on Tuesday night and both teams came away with straight set victories. In the Varsity match, the Lady M's won 25-13, 25-15, 25-15 behind Addie Smith's 31 assists, 14 digs, 8 kills, 6 aces and 1 block. Avery Smith had 17 kills, Sidney Burton had 6 kills, 7 digs and 1 Ace. Eliza Starrett had 14 digs and 1 Ace. Emma Brawner had 6 kills and 2 blocks while Ashton Johanningsmeier chipped in a 5 kills and Leah Hobson had 4 kills and 4 digs. The Lady Musketeers are now 22-5 and host New Washington on Thursday night to round out conference play. It will be elementary night to coincide with the elementaries Trunk or Treat event. All kids get in free with a paying adult as long as they are wearing a costume. Come for the candy and then come watch the 6th ranked Lady Musketeers in the final home game of the season! In the JV game, the Lady M's won 25-19, 25-13 as Lillianna Gonzalez had 6 kills, Aubrey Mollett and Reagan Wineinger had 7 digs and Elsie Starrett had 17 assists.
