Volleyball Update for the Lady Musketeers Current Record 12-2 overall, 5-0 in the SAC Last Saturday the Lady M's went to the Barr Reeve Invitational and went 3-1 The opening match was against perennial volleyball power Evansville Mater Dei who is ranked #10 in 2A. The ladies won set one 25-15 and set two 25-22 to win the match. In match two, Eastern faced sectional opponent Crawford County. In a rematch of last year's Sectional Championship match, the ladies dispatched the Wolfpack 25-17, 25-17. In Match three, the Lady M's faced 2A #3 Barr Reeve in a regional rematch and lost to the hosts, 25-17 and 25-14. In the final match of the day, Eastern defeated the highly ranked, class 1A Christian Academy of Indiana in three sets overcoming an injury to libera, Eliza Starrett to an ankle injury. Her sister, Elsie Starrett stepped in and did a great job filling the role of libero to help the veteran team fight off CAI. On Monday, Eastern returned to action at home and dispatched Orleans in 3 sets, 25-19, 25-14, 25-13 before traveling to Lanesville on Wednesday to defeat the Lady Eagles in three sets 25-18, 25-17, 25-16. This Saturday, Eastern hosts #2 in 1A, Springs Valley and 10-4 Madison in what will be some great volleyball at All For One Arena in Pekin, Indiana.
