Boys Tennis competes well at New Albany Invitational

The Musketeer boys tennis team competed well at the New Albany Invitational this past weekend, but also had some bad luck with the injury bug. On Friday night, at #1 Singles, Mason Chanley was split 1-1 with a high regarded player from Providence and was in the fight in set 3 when he succumbed to a calf injury that will have him sidelined for at least a week. #2 singles player, Brigham Green finished in 5th place and #3 singles Keaton Brown finished in 4th place. At #1 doubles, Anthony Schear and Hayden Lewis battled their way to the finals and lost to a talented New Albany team to finish in second place. #2 Doubles Brandon Roberts and Carter Smith finished in 7th place and like many of the members of this young team, they are showing growth. The team placed 5th overall and will be back in action tonight at Brownstown without Chanley (calf) and possibly Roberts (hand).
