The Lady Musketeers repeated as the County Champions in Volleyball this past Saturday at Borden High School to improve to 3-1 on the young season. In round 1 they defeated Salem 25-10, 25-18 to advance to the championship round. Senior Sidney Burton lead the ladies with 8 kills while Senior Avery Smith had 7 and Junior Leah Hobson chipped in 5. Sophomore Ashton Johanningsmeier lead the way with 3 Aces, while Hobson had 2 and Avery Smith and Eliza Starrett each had 1. Ashton and Emma Brawner both had a block in the game. Avery Smith lead the team with 8 digs, while Starrett and Senior Addison Smith both had 5 and Burton had 4. Addie Smith also had 18 assists. In the Championship game, the Lady Musketeers dispatched Borden 25-13 and 25-16 to repeat as Champions. Avery Smith had 11 kills and Burton chipped in 10. Addie Smith had a pair of aces to go with her 24 assists. Starrett chipped in an ace to go with 10 digs. Avery Smith lead the team in digs with 13 while Addie Smith chipped in 9. The Lady Musketeers (3-1, 1-) host SAC foe, Clarksville tomorrow at All For ONE Arena. JV begins at 6pm.
