Eastern High School

The Eastern girls faced a tough loss to the visiting #1 Borden. Eastern came out aggressive in the first quarter trailing by one with a score of 14-15. The girl's continued to play physically and aggressively, however Borden continued to grow the lead to 32-23 at the end of the half. Coming out of the half, Borden went on a run that ended the third quarter 45-28. The Eastern girls stayed resilient and went on a run that cut Borden's lead down to 8. While Eastern continued to be the aggressor in the fourth quarter, the final score ended in an Eastern loss of 45-59. While we would have liked to start the season with a win, this was an exciting start to a very hopeful season. The girls are playing again tomorrow night at Crawford County and hope to carry some of this momentum into the game.
