Musketeers fall to visiting Tell City on Friday Night

The Musketeers fell to an exceptional Tell City Marksmen football team 49-0 on Friday at home. The Musketeers fell victim to the turnover bug early in the contest killing a promising early drive that then lead to excellent field position. Last week, the Musketeers took care of the ball and dominated the clock against county rival West Washington, which allowed them to control the pace of the game. Eastern has a number of two way players and the pace of play while holding onto the ball for long, time consuming drives is vital to the Musketeers success. Unfortunately, against Tell City, the turnovers proved costly by allowing Tell City to often have excellent field position while giving their very talented backfield numerous opportunities to go to work, which turned into a tough evening for the Musketeers. The Musketeers are now 1-1 and the road doesn't get any easier as they head to 2-0 Brownstown next Friday.
